When it comes to editing the boilerplate content of your reports via the Report Content Manager, you have two options:

1.    You can create a custom version of a Genovo snippet; or

2.    You can create your own standalone custom snippet.

When you create a custom version of a Genovo snippet, your custom version automatically inherits the same triggers and position within the section as the original Genovo snippet; and the content of the customised version, rather than the Genovo version, will automatically come out in the reports created by you and your account’s users.

To create a custom version of a Genovo snippet, click the edit icon for the Genovo snippet and a new window will open.

Next, click Create custom version of snippet and an exact copy of the Genovo snippet will open in another window which you can then edit.

Once you have made your edits, click Save and your custom version will be automatically selected as the 'active' version and used in your reports.

On returning to the main Report Content Manager overview page, you'll notice that a custom version of the Genovo snippet now shows as active, in addition to information about who created and updated the snippet, and when.

Should you ever need to edit or delete your custom version, or revert back to the Genovo version of the snippet, simply click the edit pencil and make the changes as required.
