Before we explore how you can add a new section into your reports in more detail, we would encourage you to question and check whether what you are looking to achieve is in fact going to be best realised by adding the additional custom content you want to include in your reports into a brand new section, or by creating a custom snippet in an existing section and adding the content in there.

Assuming that a new section is the right solution, here's a summary of a couple of ways you can achieve this.

1) Create a new section using the Report Section Manager

In terms of functionality and ease of use, this is by far the best option. This article explains how account admins of Company Plan Midis or above can create a custom non-wizard section and configure where it sits in the Report Builder.

If your plan does not include the Report Section Manager feature as standard, you can purchase this as a bolt-on to your subscription for an additional £25 per month to your subscription. Please contact us for further information.

2) We can create a new section for you

If you do not have access to the Report Section Manager and do not wish to purchase this feature as a bolt-on, we can create a custom non-wizard section for you. This will incur an additional one-off cost of £75+VAT per section. However, discounts will apply for multiple sections created at the same time.

If you would like us to create a new custom non-wizard section for you, please contact us with the following information:

  • The section name.
  • Where you would like the section to appear in the Report Builder i.e. in the 'Available sections' drop down or automatically inserted into the Report Builder.
  • Where in the drop down or the Report Builder you'd like the section to show i.e. "between this section and this section..."
  • Which Report Type(s) the section should be included in.

This may take up to five working days for us to implement. Once the section is created, you will be able to add and manage the content yourself via the Report Content Manager.
