Although a Reader user cannot access Genovo's Report Builder to create the initial draft report, they can interact with the draft report (after it's been created by a Writer user) in the Report Editor.

Reader users can access Report Editor reports in three ways:

  1. The Recent Activity panel on their dashboard.
  2. The Client & Report Library.
  3. Via a notification email sent from another user on their account.

From the Recent Activity panel, simply click on the report name to be taken to the report.

To access clients and their reports, click on Libraries from the main dashboard and then click on Client & Report Library.

Once in the Client & Report Library, Reader users can:

  1. Search for an existing client
  2. Add a new client (Genovo handles three different client types - private, corporate or trust)
  3. Edit a client
  4. Delete a client
  5. Download a client's details (to a CSV file)
  6. Access the client's Report Library

From a client's Report Library, Reader users can edit the name, report reference and currency of the Report Builder report.

Clicking on the report name will open a list of all Report Editor ('child') reports created from the Report Builder ('parent') report.

It's here that Reader users can:

  1. Click on the report hyperlink to open the report for viewing or editing in the Report Editor
  2. Change the report status
  3. Apply a report rating
  4. Send a notification email to another Genovo user
  5. Upload the report to the client's record in an integrated CRM
  6. Clone the report to create another version
  7. Download the report to Word or as a PDF
  8. Delete that version of the report

If you're accessing the report from an email notification that you've been sent by another user on your account, the hyperlink in the email will take you straight to the Report Editor, where you can view or edit the 'child' report.
