Advisers / Planners who are having their reports written for them by paraplanners / admin staff, and have been added to their Genovo account as a Writer or Reader user, may want to use the adviser report rating feature within the Report Editor to grade their overall experience of the report creation process once the report has been completed / published.


When applying a rating to a report, the adviser / planner may want to give consideration to the following factors, amongst others:

  • How many interactions with the planner / iterations of the report did it take to get to the "finished article" / published report?
  • How long did it take the report writer to turn around the initial draft / published versions of the report?
  • How many edits did the adviser / planner have to make to the draft report?
  • Based on the information provided to the report writer, what was the quality of the initial draft / published version of the report?  


If your company's Genovo account has been set up correctly, all advisers / planners, paraplanners and other admin staff who get involved in the report writing process within your compan will have been added as a Writer or Reader user, and the client will be owned by the adviser and saved within their client library. Although all users can view the 'Adviser report rating' of a Report Editor report, only the owner of the client (which should be the adviser) can edit it.


It is possible to view and edit the 'Adviser report rating' from directly within the Report Editor or the Client & Report Library.


The Report Editor


From within the Report Editor, click View / edit  adviser report rating within the 'Genovo Actions' drop down menu and a new window will open. Here you can apply a new rating or edit an existing rating if you are the owner of the client, or simply view it if you are not.



The Client & Report Library


from within the 'Report' window, click the 'report rating' icon to the right of the version name, and this will also open the 'Adviser report rating' window much like the above.



From within the Client & Report Library it is easy to spot when a rating has been applied to a version of the report because the report rating star icon will turn yellow.



Account Owners and Account Admins can also customise the rating names and how many different ratings show for the users in their account.
