When you add a plan to the plan summary step of a review section you'll be prompted to create or select the Current Investment Strategy for that plan. You don’t have to include details of the underlying investments / funds that make up the Current Investment Strategy. And if you leave the Current Investment Strategy drop down menu blank (i.e. --Please Select--), no information relating to the underlying investments / funds of the plan will be included in your report.

If you do wish to include details of the underlying investments / funds of the plan within your report, you can:

1. Select an existing Current Investment Strategy you have previously created in a review section of this report from the Current Investment Strategy drop down menu; or

2. Create a new one (further info below); or

3. Clone an existing one.

How to create a Current Investment Strategy

To create a brand new Current Investment Strategy from scratch click add IS. You’ll be directed to a new page where you’ll be prompted to give the Current Investment Strategy a name. The investment strategy name wont appear in your report, but it is still worthwhile giving it a sensible name e.g. John's ISA Transact CIS so it is easily identifiable should you wish to select it for other plans in the review sections, or clone it.

Having given the investment strategy a name, you’ll then need to add the investments which make up that investment strategy.

To add an investment on the fly click add new investment, and you’ll be prompted to complete the relevant fields and click save

However, within Genovo there is an Investment Library where you can save details of the investments that you frequently recommend to your clients. By having an investment saved in your Investment Library you can then click add library investment and add an investment from your Investment Library to a Current (or Recommended) Investment Strategy with a couple of clicks just like this.

Once a Current Investment Strategy has been created, it can, for instance where a number of plans share the same investment strategy, be selected for other plans in all of the review sections of that report. This not only saves time rekeying this information for each of the plans, but it also avoids any unnecessary repetition within your report.

Having created a current investment strategy, you can then add an investment performance graph (should you wish to), edit its name or the underlying investments by selecting it and clicking edit investment strategy. You can also delete a current investment strategy by clicking delete.
